Taking a page from one of the most celebrated children's books of all time, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is a delightfully delicious theatrical treat for viewers of all ages.

Based upon the classic 1964 Roald Dahl book of the same name, as well as its sequel, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is a feast for the senses with ample opportunities for actors of any generation to strut their stuff onstage.

Originally presented in the West End with direction by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes in 2013, the musical was rebooted for its Broadway premiere with Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien taking the reigns. While the West End iteration of the show ran for more than three years, the Broadway bow ran for less than a year but yielded a national tour that is still ongoing at this time.

Featuring the unforgettable theme from the 1971 film, "Pure Imagination", along with an original score by HAIRSPRAY and SMASH scribes Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is an audience-pleasing favorite sure to enter the estimable catalog of oft-revived family musicals in regional theaters and schools around the world.

Boasting colorful characters, ear-grabbing tunes and a story that spans decades of experience, the 2019 Lotus Lee Foundation Children's Play Initiative winner will unquestionably share these delectable attributes while also introducing a new audience to the joys of live theatre.
